Beer Tasting šŗ Joe Beer š» Paulaner Münchner Hell
Hello, beer lovers! š»
How are you? After a few rainy days, itās hot and humid here again. I actually wanted to go back to the island for a few days, but I couldnāt because of some commitments. Maybe next weekend. My wife and I spent the afternoon planting some things in the field, and now that itās evening, Iām enjoying a beer.

I have two cans in front of me ā one Polish and one German. Both are cold. Iām looking forward to finishing them off and sharing the beer experience with you. After all, itās #beersaturday :)
Joe Beer Classic Lager

Brewed by Van Pur, Rakszawa, Poland, za verigo MOL, ki ima v lasti bencinske servise v vzhodni Evropi. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.5% ABV, IBU N/A. Lager style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Green Joe. The MOL gas station chain continues to expand its portfolio of private-label brands. It is now adding its own beer under the Joe Beer brand to its lineup. The new product arrives just in time for the summer and barbecue season, which the company has long targeted with an expanded selection of snacks and beverages. Joe Beer is designed as a multi-product line intended to appeal to a broader range of customers.
Actually, I spotted it at a MOL gas stationāIāve never seen cans like that before, but when I read that itās from Poland, I hope itās at least Average Joe...

The beer is a light orange color; it has very little head, which dissipates quickly. It has no aroma. It goes down smoothly; I taste a very slight bitterness on the palate and nothing else. Watery.
The beer is drinkableāno doubt about thatābut thatās about it; it has nothing to do with a classic lager (though I was hoping it would at least be an Average Joe :)). Itās very watery, but itās not exactly low in alcohol; itās almost tasteless, as if you were drinking plain, slightly bitter sparkling water. But OK, itās sold at gas stations⦠I guess itās obvious youāre not supposed to drive if you have alcohol in your system⦠but itās not OK that itās overpricedāone of those watered-down cans of beer costs ā¬1.99, which is way too much. You can find it at MOL and INA gas stations. The only good thing about this beer is the label.

Ah, Iād better forget the whole thing as soon as possible and move on.
Paulaner Münchner Hell

Brewed by Paulaner Brauerei, Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.9% ABV, IBU 20. Original Munich Lager.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Our Original Munich Lager is a true classic with its clear, bright-gold, sparkling hue, crowned by a pure white head. A beer that always goes down well: mild, elegant malts, with a hint of sweetness and a soft hint of hops in the background. A true classic of quintessential Munich and Bavarian drink.
I've actually tasted this beer before, but in a bottle. It would taste better in a can. Anyway, Paulaner is better known for its wheat beer than for its lagers.

The beer is a clear yellow color; the head is firm but dissipates quickly. It has a fresh, malty aroma. It goes down smoothly; on the palate, you first taste the maltās subtle sweetness and a hint of fresh bread, followed by a mild bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste for a while.

A very drinkable and refreshing beer! A top-notch lager considered a classic of Bavarian brewing with a long tradition (1634). Itās very well-balanced, with no extreme flavors, and is still brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Here, itās available in almost every store, priced between ā¬1.49 and ā¬1.79.

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Something from my Friday's #newtunes. A new band for meāvery melodic. Maybe they're the next big thing?
